The local food safari around the Aursund lake has been written about by food blogger Whitney Love.

The sometimes barren landscape and the harsh climate in the Røros region makes the vegetables, mushrooms and spices grow more slowly and develop a cleaner and stronger taste than they do in other places.

You’ll find the same uniqueness in the meat of the animals that have been grazing on green pastures, and in the fish that lives its life in the clear and cool mountain waters.

In summer you can join different tours around the Røros region. In 2015 we’ll repeat the success of previous years with our food safari.
